Teenage Slumber Party Games
Chosing great slumber party games will help amuse
and entertain your budding guests and contribute to creating an experience you
will feel is worth repeating, or at the very least help you get through the
night avoiding any tension headaches.
A little forethought and planning with some teenage slumber party games goes a
long way towards ensuring organised fun and avoiding teenage slumber party
chaos.
Celebrity Who am I?
Have a small piece of paper or card
handy for each of your guests. On each card write the name of a famous person
or celebrity. Stick one piece of paper to each person's forehead using
cellotape, taking care that they do not see what it says.
As people walk around the room they must not give away the name on the person's
forehead, but rather speak to them as if they were the person on their card.
Those people who have guessed their famous person or celebrity identity must
continue to relate to the others as if they were still the person named on
their forehead in order to help them quess correctly. The game ends when
everyone has guessed the name on their forehead.
Truth or Dare
This is an old teenage slumber
party favourite and one which participants with an ear for hearing interesting
tidbits particularly enjoy.
The game starts with one person asking another, "Truth or dare?". The person
who has been asked must chose one of these options. If they pick truth then
they must tell the truth in reply to any question asked. If they select dare,
the person must complete the dare given them without backing down. For
particularly daring dares successfully undertaken a prize could be awarded at
the disgression of the host or hostess.
Mirror-less Make-Up Challenge
Totally in tune with teenage girls' slumber party
game ideals is this game in which, contrary to most games, a prize is awarded
to the least successful, most appalling effort.
Guests will need to be forewarned to bring their make-up to the slumber party.
The challenge is for them to each apply all of their make up without looking in
a mirror. Set a time limit to complete the task. Five minutes should be long
enough.
Wink Murder
Someone in the room is a murderer. They 'murder'
people by winking at them. After someone has been winked at they must wait for
a moment then fall to the floor. If a player thinks they have guessed who the
murderer is they can speak out. A correct guess means they have won the game.
If they are wrong however, then they have to 'die' and the game continues.
The winner of the game is either the person who correctly guesses the murderer,
or the murderer themselves if they successfully 'kill' all but the last
remaining victim.
Before the game begins a murderer must be selected. The simplest way to do this
is by having the same number of folded pieces of paper as there are guests. On
one of these pieces of paper write the word 'murderer'. Each guest takes a slip
of paper. The person who selects the one that says 'murderer' then becomes the
murderer.
